Book 124 of 500!

This book was Paris Noire by Francine Thomas Howard. It took place in Paris, France towards the end of the German  occupation in Paris. It was about half black/half French people living in Paris. The story revolved around a mom, and her 2 kids. The son found the love of his life in a Frenchwoman, but there were so many obstacles and so much got in their way. In the end, what happened definitely wasn’t what I had expected. It was a great book, but I wish things could have ended differently. This was loosely based on a true story as well.
