Day 88 – Journey World

Monday after I worked at Girl Scouts, I went to my parent’s house. My dad and I went to a place in Chicago called Journey World. It’s for current girl scouts, boy scouts or school groups, owned by Girl Scouts though, where kids can go and pretend they run a city! The top floor is a whole city, with a newspaper, a bank, a mayor and everything you need to run a city, you get to pick the job you want and then actually run the city, you get paid, and you have expenses and everything, it was really neat to see. Then the floor below has different habitats, like a cave and a horticulture area, down there you learn about different sciences and stuff. I got to go because I was invited as an alumni to check it out. However, my dad was the only man there, haha! But for bringing him I got a free box of thin mint cookies, YUM!
