Friday June 3, my dad & me got up at 3am, left the house at 3:45, drove to O’Hare, parked our car, took the tram to the airport, got thru security which was extremely busy! Made it to our gate right when they started boarding! Our flight was at 6am with a stop in Denver. We arrive in Grand Junction at 9:30am. We picked up our rental car & drove to Randy and Amanda’s house. The 3 of us went and had lunch w/ Randy. Then we went shopping downtown. When Randy got home from work him & me went for a hike at the Colorado Monument! I seriously almost died, it was more like a climb up a mountain, and I wasn’t used to the air, and couldn’t get any in my lungs, of a 2 mile hike up, I only made it 1 mile before we decided to head down a different way. It was fun, I just wish I could have made it, but I know if I kept going, he would have had to call 911 to come get me!
One mile up is still a great view! I bet Randy wasn’t making 2 mile hikes up in thin air the moment he got there, either! 🙂
