For Father’s Day my dad wanted to take a tour of the new Elmhurst Hospital & went to their open house. Surprisingly it was a lot of fun! The tour was cool, because the hospital was amazing! It looked like a 5 star hotel with all private rooms, flat screen tv’s & private baths!! Then the open house was awesome too, there was tons of free foot, like corn dogs, ice cream, pickles on a stick, popcorn, nachos, pretzels & lemonade!!! Just a fun filled day! Then we visited my grandpa @ the hospital & went out to dinner, my dad’s choice! Here is one of the private rooms at the hospital!
You should see the new section/tower at Alexian Bros! I like it more than this pic, even… Every room has recessed lighting, wood laminate floors, a sitting area in an alcove with an enormous picture window…private bathroom, lots of counter space… Wireless for laptops and whatever (much better than TV).. I wish the whole hosp was like that, but at least the older rooms are all private now too. Plus, I’m never going to Elmhurst again. Alexian’s care is rated higher, almost like a research hospital. I think if I went there in 2000, a spinal tap would’ve been done, and they might have figured out my illness before it was too late. God’s will for my life…. So I’m not bitter. But I still won’t go to Elmhurst again!
