So Wednesday was surgery day. The last time I ate was 9:30pm the night before, and I set my alarm to wake up at 11:50pm and drank a whole bottle of water! I got up at 8am and took a bath. We left at 10am and got to the hospital, met my parent’s and checked in. I was miserable, and every time they’d tell me something, it would make me cry, I was so scared to have surgery, although I did smile in my ‘before’ picture! They had a hard time putting my IV in but that’s because I never have any veins! When they took me into the operating room, it was freezing, there were people all over me doing all types of things, and then finally I fell asleep, thank goodness! Besides not wanting a catheter (which I was glad I did have afterwards though) I didn’t realize they were going to stick a breathing tube down my throat, but thank goodness I was never awake for that one! When I did finally come to all I remember was horrible pain!!! They got that under control and then they brought me to my room I’d be in for the next few days and my parents & Darrell came to see me!
