Book 236 of 500!

So this is becoming a theme with my dad and me. This is another book series where we read the 1st 2 books a while back and now the 3rd and final book has finally come out! My dad and I decided AGAIN to re-read the series! So book 1 was called The Rule of One by Ashley & Leslie Saunders. Twin sisters. The books are about twin sisters but in a different world where you are only allowed 1 child, and any other children will be taken, especially a twin where you can’t help it that it happened. It’s kind of scary re-reading these books now, because there are just a lot of similarities between this made up USA and things that are going on now during this Pandemic……

Book 235 of 500!

I had read an excerpt from this book a long time ago but finally got the actual book. It’s called The Book of Pawsome by my favorite cat author, Gwen Cooper. It’s just short little writings, sometimes only a picture about all the wonderful things that are CATS! And at the end of each one she writes ……. and that is PAWSOME!!!!

Book 234 of 500!

I actually finished this book a while back but forgot to record it. It was the 3rd and final book in the series my dad and I were reading. This was called Interplanetary by Vincent Tipre! I definitely recommend this book series and my dad and me wish it would become a movie trilogy!!! Great book, just wish it didn’t have to end…..

Book 233 of 500!

This was another story by Gwen Cooper. It was called Nothing Ever Bad Happens in Stars Hollow. This was probably my most favorite story of hers ever for 2 reasons! It still was about her cats, which I love, BUT she also made it be about the show Gilmore Girls, which is literally one of my all time favorite shows EVER! That mixed with her great, and humorous writing, made this story so great, and I read it way too fast, it was over before I knew it……

This was the 2nd book in the Mars series by Vincent Tipre called Return to Earth, that my dad and I re-read so that we could read the 3rd and final book in the series! It was fun reading it again, remembering things I had forgotten and re-reading the things I did remember! I can’t wait for book 3 now!

But a 3rd book came out in a series my dad and I were reading, and we couldn’t really remember the 1st 2 books, so we decided we would re-read them!! The book is called The Other Side of the Sun by Vincent Tipre! I”m glad I re-read it, it was really good the 2nd time around again!

I actually saw this book in the bathroom of a school I was subbing at. I started reading it and couldn’t put it down, and almost missed the time I was supposed to be in the classroom! LOL! So I told my dad about out and added it to my Amazon wishlist and he bought it for me, for this past Christmas! It’s called True Facts That Sound Like Bullshit: 500 insane but true facts that will shock and impress your friends by Shane Carley! They are very interesting! Some are weird, stupid, disgusting, shocking, and hilarious! I couldn’t put it down and finished it quickly!! Now to try to talk my dad into reading it!!

Book 228 of 500!

This Gwen Cooper short story was actually an excerpt from another writer named Ingrid King who also wrote about her cats. This story was called Buckley’s Story! It was a very sweet, and sad, and cute story. It made me cry, but it was a nice story too. Just makes me think of my own kitties….

Books 225, 226 and 227!!

These books are all by Gwen Cooper. Short stories actually. They are called Rhoda Palmateer, Secret Lovers, and For Whom The Cat Yowls. All of them were very good, and interesting, and FUNNY and super quick reads! I always wish they were longer! I love her writing, and I love reading about her cat stories!!!

Book 224 of 500!

It has been a LONG time since I last recorded a book, and in reality this book should count for 10 books! Longest book I’ve ever ready! But so interesting and informative that it was worth the long read! It was called Adolf Hitler by John Toland. I’ve always been fascinated with WW2 and the Holocaust and somehow I got my dad on bored, he found this book, and even read it too! And he was never a reader!

Books 222 and 223 of 500!

Both of these are short stories by Gwen Cooper called The Bells and Just Beclaws. The first one is about putting bell collars on their 2 new kittens so that their blind kitty Homer, who was much older could hear when they were coming and know that they might attack/play with him! The second one was about an outside kitty who had claws and wanted pets, but then would grab her and draw blood every time! Both very good and humorous!

Book 221 of 500!

This book was called Makeovers by Marcia written by Claudia Mills. I got this book free at the library. It was good, about a girl in Junior High and they had to do a service project and she got stuck at a retirement home, then ended up loving it and the women loved getting makeovers done by her!

Book 220 of 500!

This book was called Nightmares by Jason Segal and Kirsten Miller. This was a great book! About a nightmare land in your dreams, but if you are really scared you can get transported there! Also the nightmares in your dreams became real in this place, it was really interesting and creative!
